Did you hear?? There’s a new hero in town.
Last Friday, Marvel released their latest superhero movie, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” Now, I don’t want to give away the whole story here, but there is an interesting plot twist: The title character, Shang-Chi, works as a mild-mannered parking valet by day. You read that right–our latest superhero is a bonafide parking professional.
The movie’s main character, Shang-Chi was created by Marvel more than 40 years ago, but this is the first time they’re bringing him to the big screen. The wait appears to have paid off–literally. Box office numbers from opening weekend in the U.S. were phenomenal. AMC Cinemas reported more than 2 million moviegoers over the holiday weekend, the largest draw being for Shang-Chi.
All of this just supports my theory: Parking superheroes really DO exist (but we already knew that, right?).
