IPMI Recognizes Excellence in Parking, Transportation, and Mobility
Award winners will be recognized at the IPMI Conference & Expo, June 11-14, 2023.
Fredericksburg, Virginia – Parking, mobility, transportation, and mixed-use projects and programs showcasing creativity, innovation, sustainability, and customer experience are recognized by the International Parking & Mobility Institute (IPMI) with 2023 Awards of Excellence and Merit.
IPMI’s Awards of Excellence program showcases outstanding parking, mobility, and transportation facilities and innovative programs to further the parking, transportation, and mobility industry. Entries are reviewed by a panel of expert judges from every segment of the industry and ranked across a wide spectrum of criteria.
“The 2023 Awards of Excellence winners exemplify the standards for creativity, effectiveness, and patron service in parking and mobility,” said IPMI CEO Shawn D. Conrad, CAE. “These projects, and the teams that execute them, meet the needs of the communities they serve and provide results that move the parking, transportation, and mobility industry forward. We are honored to recognize them with these awards.”
The 2023 Awards of Excellence winners are:
- Award of Excellence for Architectural Design: Newark Green Street Parking Garage, submitted by THA Consulting, Inc.
- Award of Excellence for Mixed-Use Parking & Mobility Facility Design: Collins Park “Arts & Letters” Parking Garage, submitted by KVC Constructors.
- Award of Excellence for Mixed-Use Parking & Mobility Facility Design: Oklahoma City Convention Center Parking Garage, submitted by Kimley-Horn.
- Award of Excellence for Stand-Alone Structured Parking Facility Design: San Mateo County Government Center Parking Structure, submitted by Watry Design.
- Award of Excellence for Sustainable Design: Big Springs Parking Structure 2, submitted by the University of California – Riverside Transportation Services.
- Award of Excellence for Innovation in a Mobility, Transportation, or Parking Program: Self-Driving Shuttles for Students, submitted by the University of Texas at Arlington.
- Award of Excellence for Marketing and Communications – Public Sector: Donations for Citations Blood Drive, submitted by the University of California – Riverside Transportation Services.

- Award of Merit for Architectural Design: Sierra College Rocklin Parking Structure, submitted by Watry Design.
- Award of Merit for Mixed-Use Parking & Mobility Facility Design: Virginia Commonwealth University Adult Outpatient Pavilion Garage, submitted by Walter P Moore.
- Award of Merit for Mixed-Use Parking & Mobility Facility Design: Fort Lee Guntzer Street Parking Garage, submitted by THA Consulting, Inc.
- Award of Merit for Stand-Alone Structured Parking Facility Design: Big Springs Parking Structure 2, submitted by the University of California – Riverside Transportation Services.
- Award of Merit for Structured Parking Facility Restoration: City of Vancouver Daycare Centre, submitted by Easypark.
- Award of Merit for Surface Parking Facility Restoration: Parking Lot 13 Restoration, submitted by the University of California – Riverside Transportation Services.
- Award of Merit for Innovation in a Mobility, Transportation, or Parking Program: Pittsburgh Smart Loading Zone Pilot, submitted by Automotus.
- Award of Merit for Innovation in a Mobility, Transportation, or Parking Program: Donations for Citations Blood Drive, submitted by the University of California – Riverside Transportation Services.
- Award of Merit for Marketing and Communications, Public Sector: Scooter Safety Campaign, submitted by UCLA Transportation.

This year’s award winners will be featured in the June issue of Parking & Mobility magazine.
